Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is a world leader in the design, research and development, systems integration, production and support of advanced military aircraft. Its customers include the military services of the United States and allied nations throughout the world. Aircraft products include the new F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter, F-22 Raptor, F-16 Multi-mission Fighter, C-130J Super Hercules, C-5 transport, P-3 and S-3 maritime patrol aircraft, and U-2 reconnaissance plane.

The company’s Fort Worth site is Aeronautics’ headquarters and the home of the F-35 and F-16, with about 14,000 employees. It is one of several Lockheed Martin operations in Texas. Aeronautics is one of four business areas of Lockheed Martin Corp., which is headquartered in Bethesda, Md. The Fort Worth facility traces its roots to 1942 and has rolled out more than 7,000 outstanding aircraft in its history. EDC Celebrates Early Payoff of Loan 
Representatives of Taylor EDC, the City of Taylor, Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and the State Economic Development Bank gathered July 1, 2010 for a ceremonial note-burning. 
That day Taylor EDC made its final payment on a $900,000 Texas Leverage Fund loan made with the State in October, 2003, paying it off more than eight years ahead of schedule at a savings of more than a quarter of a million dollars in interest.
